I completely agree with Infidel. No way was Wal-Mart prepared to do this until they saw how many more customers they were losing over it. They say their plan left them no room to decide on a case-by-case basis on this, and that they had to reword it. Yet, following the public outrage, they had room to decide on this one, and reword the plan on the spot. Amazing, isn't it?

This time, a great outcome.</description>

In all honesty, comparing them to the Grinch is unfair to the latter.  I see no reason to think they had a change of heart, only a sudden fear of loss of revenue due to bad publicity.</description>
